The first time you open Eudora you will be prompted for information. Click on "cancel." This will close the password window and show you a blank screen. At the top of the screen are several menu items. Click on "Tools." Then, from the pop-up menu, click on "Options" A window called "Settings" will appear with several boxes.
Click on "Getting Started" which is at the top of the Category List.
The first line in the configuration is the POP account box. Here you will type your user name (case sensitive) followed by "@www.quickness.com." Example: jane@www.quickness.comClick on "Personal Info" which is second on the Category List.
The next line is the real name box. Here you will type your real full name (or anything you want). Example: jane doe.
This is all that need be entered or changed in this screen.
Here you only need fill in your return email address. If you have a standard personal dial in account, or basic web space (without a domain name), your quickness e-mail address (which may be entered into this field) is your user name (case sensitive), followed by @quickness.com. (ie jane@quickness.com). You can feel free to enter any e-mail address you want here, as Eudora will not care. But understand, that e-mail yousend out, which is replied to will be sent to the address you neter in this field.Click on "Hosts" which is the third icon down in the Category List.
The only field that you need to enter here (since the first two should already be filled in) is SMTP Host. Type in www.quickness.com
Click on "Checking Mail" which is the third icon down in the Category List.
If you want Eudora to remember your mail password, click on the "Remember Password" option. We do recommend that you select the "Remove Mail from Server" so that your acccount does not fill up with saved mail. By removing the mail you can store it on your computer.Now that all the necessary changes have been made. Click the "OK" button on the bottom of the screen. You can now exit Eudora and then re-enter. This time when you are prompted for your password you can enter it (case sensitive) and start reading, sending or replying to Internet mail.
